Fair Play Policy

1. Our Commitment

Zorthorn exists to give every mobile gamer a verified, honest competitive identity. The integrity of our rankings, leaderboards, and badges depends entirely on every player competing with clean hands. This policy defines what fair play means on Zorthorn and the consequences for violating it.

2. What Counts as a Violation

The following actions are strictly prohibited and constitute a Fair Play violation:

• Account sharing: Allowing another person to play on, or log into, your Zorthorn-linked game account to boost your stats.
• Match manipulation: Deliberately losing matches, win-trading with opponents, or coordinating outcomes.
• Data falsification: Submitting, altering, or inflating game statistics by any means not sanctioned by the game publisher.
• Using cheats or exploits: Employing aimbots, wallhacks, macros, or any third-party software that provides an unfair in-game advantage.
• Multiple accounts: Creating secondary Zorthorn accounts to circumvent bans, reset rank, or participate in lower rank brackets.
• Collusion: Coordinating with other players to manipulate leaderboard positions or tournament results.
• Impersonation: Claiming to be a professional player, team, or organisation to gain credibility or rewards.

3. Detection Methods

We use multiple layers of detection to protect the integrity of Zorthorn rankings:

• Statistical anomaly detection across match history (sudden rank spikes, abnormal K/D patterns).
• Cross-referencing with game publisher anti-cheat data and ban lists.
• Community reports reviewed by our moderation team.
• Periodic manual audits of top-ranked accounts.

We do not disclose the specific parameters of our detection systems to prevent bad actors from gaming around them.

4. Enforcement & Penalties

Violations are reviewed case-by-case. Typical enforcement actions:

We may also remove badges, reverse XP gains, and adjust leaderboard positions as part of any enforcement action.

5. Appeals Process

If you believe your account was actioned incorrectly, you may appeal within 14 days of the enforcement notice. To submit an appeal:

• Email hello@zorthornesports.com with the subject line: Fair Play Appeal — [your username]
• Include your Zorthorn username, linked BGMI Player ID, the date of the action, and your explanation.
• Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. Our decision on appeals is final.

We do not accept appeals for confirmed permanent bans resulting from cheat software or ban evasion.

6. Reporting a Violation

See a player behaving unfairly? Help us keep Zorthorn clean:

• Use the in-app "Report Player" button on any profile or leaderboard entry.
• Email hello@zorthornesports.com with evidence (screenshots, video clips, match IDs).

All reports are confidential. We do not reveal the identity of reporting users. False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporting account.

7. Responsibility of Competitive Teams

Team captains and organisers are responsible for ensuring all members of their registered team comply with this policy. A fair play violation by any team member may result in action against the entire team's ranking, including tournament disqualification.

8. Updates to This Policy

This policy may be updated as new cheating methods emerge or as our platform evolves. We will communicate significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of Zorthorn after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
